The greater the number of vessels, the greater the likelihood of loss or disposal of fishing-related waste, which accounts for around 20% of marine litter worldwide.
The intense activity in the port requires extra attention to cleaning and waste management. Without regular collection, this waste quickly accumulates, contaminating the sea, harming marine species, and affecting the sustainability of fishing itself.
